I was the customer experience lead for the Benefit Cosmetics redesign. My roles included, IA, UI, and visual design.
This is a screen of the product detail page. During the discovery phase of the project, we determined images were very key in selling cosmetics online. the customer needs large product images, color swatches, and images of the product in use on a model. The customer also needed specific details such as how to apply the makeup.
User interactions include:
- when the user clicks on the color swatch, the main image dynamically updates and the color is selected in the dropdown menu.
- when the user clicks on one of the thumbnail images, the main image is dynamically updated
- when the user clicks on the large image or the "larger image" link, the large image pop-up window is opened
